Tessera Viz
PX-02
Licensing
The engine is free. We charge for what sits on top.
The foundation is Apache-2.0 — engine, all three renderers, every framework binding, the admin UI, the headless renderer and the map tiles. Each paid tier is a strict superset of the one below, so starting free never costs you anything later.
KeyLines and ReGraph run $25,000 to $50,000 per seat per year. yFiles starts north of $30,000. Tessera Viz gives the engine away under Apache-2.0 and charges for what sits on top — per developer, not per person who looks at a chart.

Questions we actually get.
What is actually free?
The engine and everything under it: all three renderers, 26 algorithms with playback, all 14 layouts, seven themes, every framework adapter, the nine plugins, the admin UI, the headless renderer, map tiles and all 77 chart renderers. Apache-2.0, commercial use permitted, no key and no expiry.
How does it compare to KeyLines on price?
KeyLines and ReGraph run roughly $25,000 to $50,000 per seat per year and yFiles starts north of $30,000. Tessera Viz charges per developer rather than per seat, and the engine itself is free.
Do end users need licences?
No. Studio is priced per developer with unlimited end users, and Enterprise is one number for the whole engineering organisation.
Can it export GraphML?
No — import only. The formats package ships parsers for Mermaid, DOT, GraphML and JSON, and writers for SVG, PNG, JSON, vector and paginated PDF, and PowerPoint. We would rather say that plainly than let you find out after buying.
Is it accessibility certified?
There is a complete, audit-ready WCAG 2.1 AA self-assessment, and third-party certification has deliberately not been done yet. We are not going to claim a certificate we do not hold.
